| This is your last chance to sign up for Sekrit Bunnehs!
I'll be sending out assignments tomorrow, so sign up now to join in the fun! | comments: Leave a comment |
| 1. Put information in for Support Sekrit Bunnehs.
2. Work on stale requests (requests over a week old, or at least requests that are worth 10 points).
Hey guys. There are a lot of stale requests on the board right now, many of which aren't actually that hard. Okay, some make sense as to why they're taking a while to investigate, but there's definitely a significant number that just require user-ed, or maybe a slight bit of testing, or maybe some wordy user-ed.
Here's what we're at right now: 12:18:32 < Anna> 54 green over 7 days old (excluding independent, issues) (28 unanswered, 26 SNH) :: (*) 22 in general (9+13) :: 14 in entries (9+5) :: 5 in web-ui (2+3) :: 5 in mobile (4+1) :: 5 in scrapbook (2+3) :: 2 in russian (1+1) :: 1 in styles (1+0) :: 0 in docs (0+0) :: 0 in syn (0+0) :: 0 in communities (0+0) :: 0 in userpics (0+0) || EXCLUDED: 44 in issues (12+32) :: 13 in independent (12+1)
I'd love to see that below 30 by Monday, so that means working on requests that are over 7 days (or requests that would be over 7 days by Monday). So, lets all concentrate on spending our time on those older requests. It will feel good to get them out of the way.
Any requests that are older than a week old can be discussed in learn_support, too. But I think we'll find that a surprising number of them are the same kind of requests we see at 2 days old.
I'm in a bribing sort of mood, too, so email me on Monday, with [stale] in the subject, if you've worked on at least 5 stale requests. Give me URLs for anything that's stale, and I'll come up with some prizes and shower you with love.

| Normally all this gets organized in October, but we've had a bit of a crazy year this year and we're getting a late start. As such, we'll be doing SSB a little bit differently this year. This is one of my favorite parts of Support, so hopefully the late notice won't discourage anyone from participating!! It really is a great way to get to know your fellow volunteers. :)
pne, I've plagiarized borrowed heavily from your previous post on this to get it written and posted quicker. <3
For those of you who haven't participated before, typically Support Sekrit Bunnehs involves 3 gifts, spread out through the end of November-the end of December. Since we're getting such a late start, we're going to make it one gift this year, so that people can get their gifts on their way to arrive before next February. =P We'll aim for a "around New Year's" delivery. =D
- The gift(s) can be tangible or intangible, product or service, bought or self-made, big or small. Support secret bunnehs is not affiliated with any particular religion, but if your bunneh celebrates a particular occasion, you're welcome (but not obliged) to have that reflect in one or more of your gifts.
- Senders and recipients are matched at random, though I take certain factors into account (see below).
- You don't have to be an active support volunteer to participate, but it would be good if you were someone we still recognised :).
- Please, if you participate, commit to it. If you have to back out after assignments are made, of course you can, but your sekrit bunneh will miss you or have to be covered for by someone else.
Here's how to sign up:
Comment on this entry (comments are screened) or email me (danceinacircle@lj) with the following information:
* Address (in the format that people should write on the mail item) * Could I assign you to someone out of your country, or would you strongly prefer someone geographically closer to you (this mostly goes for people in countries with a lot of us)? * Is there anyone you have a conflict with that you would rather not be partnered with? * A list of suggested items or things you'd like (be reasonable, please, and stay under about ~20USD) * Is there anything (that someone would be likely to send you) that you absolutely cannot receive for whatever reason? * Are there any gift-giving occasions/dates you recognise this month that your secret bunny might want to know about? * Anything else you'd like the person sending you gifts to know? * If someone has to bail, could I ask you to cover for him/her? * Your email address, especially if you do not have an @lj address * If you've taken part before, which volunteers you've already sent gifts to or which ones already sent you gifts, so I can match you up with someone else this time
Please respond to this post by Monday, December 14th. I know that's not a lot of notice, but I want people to be able to get their gifts out as soon as possible. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
